Founder Mr.Gunadasa Kevitiyagala
It all began in late 1970's where our founder and present chairperson Mr.Gunadasa Kevitiyagala of Semini Motors Private Limited, brought convenience to the automotive spare parts industry in Sri Lanka. At the time, many of the automotive spare part dealers had to travel from different parts of the country as our capital Colombo was the only place where automotive spare parts weresold. To help commercial avoid such tedious and costly tours across the country, Mr.Kevitiyagala boldly stepped in with a solution, by being a distributor for automotive spare parts, island wide.
In 1986, he quite effectively gave birth to Semini Motors Private Limited, importing automotive parts from Meiji Sangyo Company Japan.
At present Semini Motors has become a well-renowned corporate identity, in the automotive industry in Sri Lanka, importing high quality commodities from over 30 world class brands from around the world, out of which for we are the sole agent for eight of them. We stand strong not only due to the incomparable dedication that our faithful workforce renders us, but also due to the infallible trust that we gained through the bonds, which were formed across the country, during our inception. All of these factors have led us to reach the pinnacle of this trade with over 1600-customer base moulding us to be a solid successful corporate body in the industry.
At Semini, we believe that combined forces of creativity, technology, marketing and skilful staffs directed through well-versed strategic planning, are able to yield incredible results in both short and long run. With the best interest of our customers in mind, our actions are always focusing on maximum customer satisfaction and continuous business growth.

As a business that exists because of our worthy clientele, we give back to the community, improving their present conditions to a better position. Following are some of the projects we have been fortunate to initiate;
Religion is what tame and mould an individual to become a responsible, sensitive and a moral citizen in the society. Therefore we have initiated the following to uplift the standards of Handala Buddha Jayanthi Temple.
Semini Motors always try to enhance the values of the society, by looking to areas that needs pruning, developing and providing essentials for a sound environment to learn. Following are some of the examples where we have given a helping hand to our younger generation, who would become leaders in the future.
We are in the business because of our community, and it is our duty give back to the community and look after their needs and wants. Such a need was indentified in the village of Mr. Kevitiyagala where travelling has become an issue almost threatening the lives of the villagers. Thus Mr. Kevitiyagala built a complete bridge to his native village "Gulawita – Matugama" to facilitate convenient travelling for villagers.
